Monday 3rd July

Well, what a turnaround -
after the last diary entry
of swimming in the grass
here am I
actually swimming in the water!
Who'd have thought it???
I believe I was tricked into doing it
when someone who shall be nameless
threw a stick into the river just beyond my reach
so of course I plunged after it
blithely unaware of the shelving shore
and found myself out of my depth
and paddling like mad!
But it was so refreshing
that I went in several more times
though I don't think I'll take it up professionally!!
