Sunday 8th January

Well, Christmas has come and gone
even quicker than last year
it seems to me
but there were lots of presents to open
and games to play
and people to see
and food to eat!
Of course, I had to wear an appropriate hat
which rather suits me, I think -
it's a small price to pay
for the pleasure of receiving a bone
and a packet of tennis balls!
I have to admit that I succumbed
to my usual chewing weakness
and this is the only ball left -
and it doesn't bounce very well now!
Oh, well, roll on next Christmas!
